The ASO-Valve was born through necessity. It was developed by the owner of Vancouver Concrete Cutting and Coring Inc. for controlling the amount of water needed when cutting and coring concrete. Water has always been used for this purpose and the use of "Gate" or "Ball" valves. The problem however, is that these other valves are designed for simply open or closed use. Not for control.
These other valves, aside from not providing any precision, were plagued with issues such as accidental adjustment or are susceptible to vibration which would frequently cause the control arm to vibrate loose and fall off entirely.
Most common was either to flood the tool with excess water creating slower drilling and more mess to clean up or starve the tool causing excess dust and damaging the cutting head.
The ASO-Valve adresses all of these issues. With fluid control from single digit ml per minute flow to full open +20L/minute and any variation in between. It's vibration proof, It's cork screw adjustment housing cannot fall off or accidentally come off setting. It's reliable and easy to use.
Industry field test results have shown a 250% more efficient water consumption rate then standard "Gate" or "Ball" valves. Meaning, when remote coring in concert with a pump can configuration you get 2.5 hours of continuous drilling vs 45 minutes from other valve configuration.
Although the ASO-Valve was developed by and for the concrete cutting industry it's applications are endless. From fuel delivery systems, Hydraulics, Health and Science applications to irrigation. Anywhere where control and consumption are important the ASO-Valve is the solution.
